Students Shine at South Yorkshire Athletics Championships

A number of our students were selected to represent Doncaster at the South Yorkshire Athletics Championships, held on Saturday at the Eco-Power Stadium (formerly Keepmoat Stadium), and they delivered an outstanding set of performances.

Competing against some of the region's most talented young athletes, our students demonstrated exceptional determination, skill and sportsmanship, with several achieving podium finishes and breaking school records.

Outstanding Performances

Special congratulations go to:

  • O. Ball – Secured 3rd place in the 200m final, setting a new school record in the process.
  • G. Oluwayinka – Achieved 3rd place in the 100m final and also established a new school record.
  • E. Olatunji – Finished in an impressive 4th place in the final, while breaking another school record.
  • L. Wheeler – Although she narrowly missed qualification for the finals, she produced a remarkable performance by breaking a school record that had stood since 2017.

It was also fantastic to see former student K. Michalski competing at the championships. K. delivered an exceptional performance, winning both the 100m and 200m finals – a truly outstanding achievement.

We now look forward to the upcoming Doncaster Schools Championships and the Consilium Olympics, where many of our athletes will once again have the opportunity to showcase their talents and represent the school with pride.

Congratulations to everyone who took part and represented both Doncaster and the school so positively. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to seeing what you accomplish next.
