Armthorpe Academy students have a proud tradition of smart and attractive appearance.

By accepting a place here, it means parents agree to the uniform being worn in accordance with the uniform list. It is our school policy that all students wear the school uniform when attending school, representing the school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours. Uniform is compulsory and a condition of accepting a place at Armthorpe Academy. 

Please arrive at school every day looking smart in the correct uniform.

The Armthorpe Academy uniform is:

• Plain white shirt with collar
• Armthorpe Academy tie in the relevant house colour.
• Black Armthorpe Academy blazer.
• Plain dark grey or black tailored trousers 
• Plain dark grey or black skirt that is no shorter than the mid point of the thigh.
• Flat, plain black outdoor shoes.

Guidance

• Children need comfortable, hard-wearing clothes for school. 
• Training shoes and tracksuit or hooded tops are NOT acceptable for normal school wear.
• Hairstyles of an extreme nature are NOT permitted.
• All items of clothing should be clearly marked with the student's name. 
• The only jewellery to be worn in school is a watch.
• Mobile phones and personal music players are NOT allowed to be used on the Academy premises, during the school day. 

PE Kit 

Armthorpe Academy is passionate about physical activity and healthy lifestyles. We want every student to enjoy their PE lessons and reap the rewards of regular exercise, teamwork and challenge, therefore, we would to extend our support to families who may be struggling to purchase PE kits.
